Elevator Supply for International Projects

Export containers prepared for international elevator shipment
Export coordination · Specification in one country, manufacture and delivery from China

JAFITA began developing its international elevator business in 2008.

Since then, our role has expanded beyond exporting individual products. We work with overseas customers on the technical, commercial and supply requirements that connect an elevator specification in one country with manufacturing and delivery from China.

Our international business is supported by JAFITA’s elevator industry experience, freight-elevator and OEM background, established supply-chain resources and a dedicated export team familiar with the different requirements of overseas markets.

02 · International Business Since 2008

Experience Built Project by Project

International elevator supply introduces requirements that are often less significant in a domestic transaction.

The equipment must not only meet the functional needs of the building. It must also be coordinated with the destination market, local technical conditions, project documentation and international delivery process. Since entering the export business in 2008, JAFITA has continued to develop experience in these areas.

Each enquiry is reviewed according to the actual project rather than treated as a standard export order.

03 · Start with the Destination Market

The Same Elevator Cannot Simply Be Copied from One Country to Another

A technically suitable elevator must also match the market where it will be installed. For international projects, we therefore ask customers to identify the destination country at the beginning of the enquiry.

Destination first · Country, standard, voltage and documents

Applicable Requirements

Which technical standards, certification requirements or project specifications must be considered?

Electrical Conditions

What voltage, frequency and other electrical conditions apply?

Building Conditions

What are the hoistway, pit, overhead, entrances, travel and floor requirements?

Documentation

Which drawings, manuals and technical documents are required for project review?

Product Identification

Are specific labels, language or identification requirements needed?

Delivery Conditions

How should the equipment be packaged and organized for international transportation?

The objective is to identify these requirements early — before they become changes during production or shipment.

04 · From Project Parameters to a Supply Solution

International Enquiries Need More Than a Product Name

“I need ten passenger elevators” is only the beginning. A useful proposal starts when the project is translated into technical parameters.

  • Project country
  • Building type
  • Elevator type
  • Quantity
  • Rated load and speed
  • Floors, stops and travel
  • Entrance arrangement
  • Hoistway, pit and overhead
  • Door opening
  • Power supply
  • Required finishes
  • Known standard or certification

Not every customer has all of this at the first enquiry. Send what you already know — we will identify what should be confirmed next.

05 · Complete Elevator Supply

Different Projects Require Different Equipment

JAFITA’s international supply capability is not limited to one elevator category. Our company development has expanded from a freight-elevator manufacturing foundation into a broader product scope for different applications.

06 · Multi-Category Projects

One Development May Need Several Elevator Solutions

International developments frequently require more than one type of vertical transportation equipment. JAFITA’s broader supply structure allows these requirements to be discussed through one project team.

  • Commercial complexPassenger elevators, freight elevators and escalators.
  • HotelGuest elevators, service elevators and dumbwaiters.
  • Healthcare projectPassenger elevators combined with hospital elevators.
  • Industrial developmentFreight elevators, heavy-duty equipment and supporting components.

Instead of treating each category as an unrelated purchase, we can help coordinate the overall equipment scope around the project.

07 · OEM & Private-Label Supply for Overseas Markets

Supporting Distributors and Elevator Companies

JAFITA’s freight elevator manufacturing experience led to long-term OEM cooperation within the elevator industry.

Our company materials record OEM services for multiple elevator brands and describe how these partnerships contributed to stronger internal management and supply-chain development. This background also supports cooperation with overseas elevator companies and distributors requiring customized supply.

  • OEM production
  • Private-label branding
  • Product nameplates
  • Cabin customization
  • COP and LOP branding
  • Packaging identification
  • Market-specific configurations
  • Technical documentation
  • Recommended spare parts
  • Repeat-order configuration control

The exact OEM scope is confirmed according to the product, quantity and technical requirements.

08 · Elevator Components for International Buyers

Identify the Part Before You Order It

Replacement components can be particularly difficult to source across borders. A component may look identical to the original while differing in voltage, dimensions, communication protocol, connector arrangement or equipment compatibility.

Match by specification — not by appearance

JAFITA does not recommend selecting a replacement component by appearance alone. For a more accurate identification, provide as much information as possible:

Identity

Elevator manufacturer, equipment model and original part number.

Nameplate

A clear photograph of the nameplate and electrical parameters.

Physical match

Dimensions, connector photographs and original component photographs.

09 · Technical Communication

Reduce Questions Before the Equipment Reaches the Site

Clear technical communication is particularly important when the customer, factory and installation site are in different countries.

A misunderstanding that is easy to solve locally can become expensive after equipment has been manufactured and shipped internationally. Our project communication therefore focuses on confirming critical interfaces before production:

  • Elevator Parameters

Load, speed, travel, stops and entrances.

  • Civil Interfaces

Hoistway, pit, overhead and door openings.

  • Mechanical Configuration

Drive, door, car and other equipment requirements.

  • Electrical Configuration

Power supply, control requirements and electrical interfaces.

  • Appearance

Cabin materials, doors, operating panels and finishes.

  • Documentation

Drawings and technical information required for project approval.

10 · Documentation, Standards & Certifications

Information Should Travel with the Equipment

For overseas buyers, equipment without sufficient technical documentation can create unnecessary problems during installation and project handover.

Depending on the selected product and project scope, documentation may include technical specifications, general arrangement drawings, hoistway requirements, electrical and component information, finish confirmation, installation-related documents, operation and maintenance manuals, packing documents, commercial and export documents, and applicable certification documents.

JAFITA distinguishes between company qualifications and certification applicable to a specific elevator product. Our company portfolio includes a Special Equipment Production License, ISO management-system certifications, patents and software copyrights.

For an international project, the applicable product standard and certification scope should be confirmed according to destination country, elevator category, selected product, technical configuration and project requirements.

We avoid making a blanket claim that every configuration is automatically suitable for every market. Technical and certification requirements should be clarified before the order is finalized.

11 · Export Delivery Coordination

Production Is Only Part of International Supply

When equipment is supplied overseas, the project continues after manufacturing is complete. Commercial terms, shipment arrangements and responsibilities are confirmed for each order.

Packing & Identification

Spares & Communication

Coordinating recommended or separately ordered spare parts, and keeping technical and delivery information available during supply.

12 · Support After Delivery

International Cooperation Should Not End at Shipment

Elevators remain in service for many years. For international customers, the ability to return to the original supplier for technical information, replacement components or additional equipment can be valuable.

Depending on the project and agreement, subsequent support may involve:

  • Technical communication
  • Equipment documentation
  • Component identification
  • Replacement parts
  • Additional units
  • Repeat projects
  • Previously confirmed configurations
  • OEM follow-up requirements

For long-term customers and distributors, maintaining clear product and configuration information can also make future orders more efficient.

13 · Project Experience Beyond China

International Experience Supported by Long-Term Export Development

JAFITA’s company materials document international project activity as part of its broader project portfolio, alongside experience across transportation, educational, public and commercial environments.

Not a market count · Coordination when the site is in another country

Our focus is not simply on the number of markets served. What matters to an international buyer is whether the supplier understands the additional coordination required when the equipment will be installed in another country — technical communication, product configuration, documentation and export delivery. This is the capability JAFITA has continued to develop since 2008.
